Co-op Membership Policy & Procedures
We hope you enjoy the benefits of membership in the co-op as much as we do! Here's how it all works:
Annual Basic Membership for the food co-op is $48.
For information on our Investor Level Memberships, please see our Membership Form.
Membership includes:
We offer delivery for $5 within five miles of the store's location and $10 within five to fifteen miles.
There is a $5 per day fee for all items not picked up by Saturday afternoon. (this is due to lack of ref./freezer/storage space).
The co-op runs on the honor system. Please make sure you are getting the proper produce when picking out your shares as everything is accounted for and taking extra items means that someone will be short for their share.
Substitutions in produce shares can be made for allergies and special dietary needs. Please alert us to this ahead of time when ordering so we are aware and can adjust amounts to account for the changes.
Folks considering membership may order produce shares 1 time before purchasing a membership as a trial.
All first time orders must be pre-paid at time of order. This can be done by credit card or you are welcome to drop off a check or cash. Please note this is only for your first order.
All shares not picked up Friday or Saturday will need to be paid for Monday morning with a Credit card.
We accept cash, check and credit/debit cards and have a 3% convenience fee on all credit and debit cards for processing.
All members will fill out a membership form with contact info that we will keep on file.
Produce credits are given for spoiled produce. Occasionally this happens (especially living in this hot climate!). In order for us to get credit from our farmers and suppliers we must let them know within 24-48hours. For full case produce credits we must have the request in As soon as possible (no later than Sunday) in order for us to get credit.
Splits:
Volunteers have access to a food trade of $8 per hour worked. Most shifts are Fridays 3-7 and Saturdays 10-4.
We also have volunteer opportunities out at our garden where we grown some of the food for the shares.

Splits:
- You must be a paid co-op member to pre-order non-produce bulk items or take someone else's splits.
- To put something up for splits you must commit to purchasing at least half of the item (ex: when you put a 20# bag of rice up for splits you are purchasing at least 10#'s). Then you tell us either 1) go ahead and order the item even if other customers are not taking all your splits OR 2) Don't order the item unless all splits are taken (meaning if the splits don't make you won't take more than your half you committed to).
- You must be a paid member to take someone else's splits. You do not have to take all of someone else's splits (Ex: you can take only 2#'s of the 10#'s of rice up for splits).
- We will weigh out and bag all splits for you. When you arrive on Fri or Sat to pick up your order, it will be completely bagged and ready for you!
- Remember it is always cheaper to buy in bulk for from the splits than it is from the shelf.
