THERE IS NO "PLANET B"
Here are a few ways we are working toward a
cleaner Body, Mind, Soul and Planet at Natural Living
Reduction/elimination of Plastic & petroleum products
* For our Food Storage containers on the shelf in the store we use Glass.
* For our containers in the kitchen we use glass or metal as much as possible.
* Products we make to sell are generally in glass or plant based bio-degradable packaging.
* All the "To-Go" containers are 100% compostable.
* Instead of buying plastic bags we re-use what local people have donated (now you know where YOU can recycle your bags!) and we encourage customers and members to bring their own bags.
Composting
*All juicing scraps and sub-par co-op produce is composted at the owner's property
*We share our compost with our garden that grows food for the produce shares.
Reduction/elimination of chemicals
* We use natural cleaners such as vinegar, baking soda and essential oils as much as possible.
Recycling
* All boxes from produce or products for the business are broken down and recycled or used at our garden
* We recycle egg cartons from our farmers
* All twisty ties and rubber bands are reused out at our farms and/or donated to a local non-profit that makes wheelchairs from bread ties
Upcyling
* 90% of the Shelving at the store has been locally hand made with all upcyled/reclaimed materials including pallets, fence boards, scrap lumber and fallen bamboo from the back yard
